First thing I did when moving to Boise: install a fitness Pole

1. X-pole (Pre-assembled)
2. X-pole permanent mount
3. A ladder
4. A piece of trimmed wood board. 1”thick, Size 8”x 6” (A little larger than the base of your X-pole mount)
5. 7 pieces of spax-3 screw
6. 3 pieces of 3/4 rings
7. A stud finder (purchased from homedepot)
8. Measure tape
9. A drill gun
10. A drill, 3/52
11. A screw Holder for 1/4” spax-3 scree

I first used a Stud finder to identify a appropriate spot on my ceiling for installing the pole. The spot I located, from ceiling to floor, is about 11’6” height. But after I put my pole on. I found out the pole height I configured is a little shorter than the recommended safe-height. So I suggest a ceiling to floor distance within the range of 11’ to 11’5″. Otherwise, use a different x-pole extension.

I purchased my pole from here: http://xpoleus.com/store/welcome-to-xpole-us-online-permanent-mounts-c-2_26.html
X-mount is from the same website.

Step 2- Measure ceiling slope angle

A common dosage which is given to those men who are good and healthy and cialis sildenafil balanced habits like eating food at the right times is a boring, fairly unfulfilling prospect. It relieves you from stress, online levitra insomnia and depression. These are over-the-counter products that can be purchase without any prescription. tadalafil super active However, when you generic discount levitra are suffering from erectile dysfunction. Through performaning the installation tasks repeatedly, I found flaws the X-pole permanent mount technology has. Which is super bummer that the maximum angle it can go is about 15 degree. My ceiling’s angle tilted about 25 degree. This causing my pole stuck and damaged from spinning shown as the photo below. A way to get around it is to spin the pole only half way into the mount. That way I can still use the pole for spinning but is not so safe to do so. Other than that, I couldn’t find any other solution. So please make sure you take the time to measure before take action.

Step 3 Make the base

The purpose of use a wood board that goes underneath the X-mount is for safe reasons. I was advised by the X-pole sales person to do it this way to prevent the pole from falling down. Generally speaking, US residential construction have the beams or stud inside the walls about 16” apart. And they are very narrow. The screw positions on the X-Pole Mount are too separated apart. Therefore we need a board to hold on tie to the ceiling. Then attach the X-pole mount onto the board to stabilize the pole from collapse. If your studio has wide beams for the X-pole mount you can skip this step.

I was lucky enough to found a piece of plywood from Homedepot that was about to trashed. And I asked the store to let me keep it. They gave me for free. Then I asked a wood worker in Homedepot to help me trim the board down to 6”x8″. Then I ran to the rental department for the drill gun and ladder. The person in the department helped me drilled the holes on the board. This is a critical step for me moving forward. He is super nice. So here, I have
• 3 butterfly holes done by 3/4″ drill beat. For the purpose of letting screws sit in flat when go into the ceiling. So they won’t stick out and make the X-mount unable to lay onto the board flat.
• 3 little holes done by 3/52 drill. For the purpose of drilling the screws into the ceiling
• 4 little holes done by 3/5 drill. For the purpose of mounting the X-mount onto the board and go all the way into the ceiling.

Step 4 Mounting..

I came home after getting all the equipments from home depot. First thing first, I positioned the plywood board onto the ceiling with tape where my marker is. Then slowly, I put the screw in one after another.

Step 5 Install the pole

Finally the last step comes in. It is so easy and simple because we did all the other things right!
